Big Kev and Big Mac hit the big league!
Just heard a radio soundbite of neckless goon Kevin Reynolds (not on the net yet). He was responding to news that John Howard would use him and his equally primitive sidekick Joe McDonald as symbols of what we'll have to endure if Rudd wins.
Big Kev reckons the tactic will backfire because he and Big Mac "aren't national figures". Well, they weren't until recently. But they definitely are now. That video of McDonald on the building site was shown nationally many times. I'd imagine that print editions of eastern states papers would have run photos of the porky pair in their stories, too. These guys are stars, whether they like it or not.
There's no more powerful symbol of hypocrisy and corruption than a foul-mouthed, cashed-up, flab-arsed wobble-guts who says he's a "champion of the oppressed". The Liberal Party now has two to play with.
